  • Check-in time is at 4:00 PM, and check-out time is at 11:00 AM. We do our best to accommodate early check-ins and late check-outs for an additional fee when possible; please check with us in advance.

  • If available, we can offer early check in or late check out on an hourly basis on the following schedule:

    • 1 hour ~ Complimentary

    • 2 hours $25.00

    • 3 hours $30.00

    • 4 hours $35.00

    • Same day morning check-in $75.00

    Please note: Arriving at the property in advance of our 4:00pm check in time, without prior approval is subject to the above rates.

  • Cancelation request must be received 30 days in advance of check-in. Service fees and payment processing fees may not be refunded. For this reason we encourage you to obtain your own travel insurance to protect your investment.

  • We do not offer trip insurance. It is highly recommended that you seek and obtain coverage that will protect your investment in the event of a necessary short term cancelation. Our cancelation policy is strict and we do not deviate from our timeframe.

  • Absolutely! Sacred Waters offers a variety of activities that kids of all ages will love. Families can enjoy corn hole and ladder ball, board games and cards, and making s’mores around any of our three firepits. Families and dogs will enjoy our walking paths through the forest, exploring our private creek access, and discovering the wonders of our bamboo jungle.

    With plenty of space to explore and play, it's a great getaway for all!

  • While you may see firewood under our lean to or along the fenceline, this wood is not seasoned or suitable for fire building. You may select a few pieces to your already lit fire to keep it going.

    Firewood is available for purchase across from the Dollar General on Highway 52, before you turn onto Big Creek Road.

    We have an abundance of deadfall in our private forest and you are welcome to collect any kindling that is on the ground to start your fire.

    Please, no cutting, sawing or damaging of any trees, limbs or bamboo stalks. We ask you to respect our cherished forest.

    Pack it in, pack it out, leave no trace, take only memories.

  • Yes, there are hiking trails and various outdoor activities within a short drive from the cabin, namely the Appalachian Trail and Benton McKaye Trail, also several waterfalls to explore nearby. We can provide you with information and recommendations on the best trails and activities based on your interests. Let us know how we can help!

  • We are pet-friendly! You're welcome to bring your furry family members.

    We are currently accepting up to three dogs with no age or breed restrictions.

    Pets must not be left unattended at any time within the home unless kenneled. We have a kennel available in the office closet.

  • We do have age restrictions and require all guests, except minors accompanied by adults, to provide proof of ID. Our minimum age requirement of all overnight guests is 25 years old. You may be asked to provide an ID prior to check-in.

✓ If you wish to request an early check-in, please contact us in advance, we may be able to arrange that for an additional fee.

✓ You will receive an email within 48 hours of check-in providing directions, self check in instructions, wi-fi login credentials and digital guestbook.

✓ Please notify us immediately if anything needs attention to make your stay more pleasant.

Check-In Information

✓ Our standard checkout time is at 11:00 AM.

✓ If you wish to request a late checkout, please contact us in advance, we may be able to arrange that for you for an additional fee.

✓ Strip sheets and start laundry cycle, cold setting

✓ Place towels in tub

✓ Bag up all trash and place in receptacle in the shed.

✓ Place any dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start.

✓ Leave thermostat at 72, close all windows, turn off all lights and fans, shut gates, latch hot tub cover and lock property behind you.

✓ After your departure, we'll send a follow-up email to gather your insights.

Checkout Information

Pet Owner Check Out Information

Our cleaning fee covers a standard turnover. To help keep costs low and Sacred Waters pet-friendly for future guests, we kindly ask that you leave no trace of your pet. This includes:

✓ Vacuum up pet hair

✓ Wipe paw prints from floors and doors

✓Dispose of all waste from the yard & landscaped areas

House Rules

✓ Please do not arrive early to the property without our consent. Early arrival may be subject to additional fees as per our check in policy

✓ No smoking or vaping on the premises, evidence of smoking may result in $350.00 fine

✓ No parties / events

✓ Quiet hours 10pm - 8am

✓ No unattended fires, fires must be dead out, no trash or food to be disposed of in firepit. Pack it in, pack it out. A minimum $100.00 fine will be assessed for any trash left in firepits or on the property, this includes cigarette butts, pet waste and poop bags

✓ Please respect our forest, no cutting or damaging live trees, stalks or branches

✓ No unregistered pets or guests on the premises without prior written authorization.

✓ Pick up and dispose of all pet waste. Cover furniture with your personal dog blankets. Unattended dogs must be kenneled

✓ Please keep kids and dogs away from pond and landscaped area. Pond is monitored by surveilance camera due to past abuse and resulting damage

✓ By booking reservation you have agreed to house rules, policies and checkout instructions
